We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a true hero, Thomas Walter "Tommy" Brady. Tommy dedicated an incredible 61 years of his life to the fire service, tirelessly serving as a volunteer firefighter in Calvert County.

Tommy was not just a member of the firefighting community; he was a pillar, a founding member, and the very first Fire Chief of the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department. His legacy will forever be intertwined with the growth and strength of this department.

His dedication did not stop there, as he was also a life member of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department. He was instrumental in the restoration project of one of their original fire engines, 201, which can be seen in the downstairs museum of the station. Tommy's passion for helping others and his unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe was truly unparalleled.

Tommy's memory will live on in the countless lives he touched, the fires he fought, and the emergencies he bravely faced. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time as well as his brothers and sisters in his extended fire department family.

In Tommy's honor, may we all strive to be as selfless, as dedicated, and as caring as he was. His legacy is a testament to the incredible impact one person can make in a community, and he will be dearly missed.
