GEARS is a proprietary method of assessing any
hazardous materials incidents to determine the
appropriate level of response and resources. GEARS takes
the guesswork and panic out of the initial response to a
HazMAt incident and instead relies on science to drive
incident action plans. The GEARS process is so well
thought out and tested in actual responses that even a
high-school student can make initial decisions to properly
manage an incident
