The Calvert Fire Rescue EMS Division was proud to sponsor the GEARS HazMat Training on January 25, 2025. In collaboration with the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Advanced Emergency Solutions, nearly 20 Calvert County volunteers enhanced their skills in assessing hazardous material incidents, determining the appropriate response levels, and identifying necessary resources.

GEARS training eliminates the guesswork and panic during the initial stages of a HazMat incident, relying on science to guide the creation of effective action plans.
