The Calvert County Volunteer Fire-Rescue-EMS Committee is a collaborative body dedicated to supporting the hardworking men and women who volunteer their time and expertise to protect and serve our community. Comprised of representatives from each of Calvert County’s nine volunteer fire, rescue, and EMS stations, this committee meets at least 2-3 times a year to discuss and evaluate the programs, benefits, and resources available to our volunteers.
Our mission is to ensure that Calvert County’s volunteer first responders are equipped with the tools, recognition, and support they need to excel in their roles. This includes reviewing and improving existing benefits, exploring innovative recruitment and retention strategies, and identifying new ways to honor the commitment and sacrifices of our volunteers.
Through open dialogue and collaboration, the committee strives to maintain a strong, united volunteer network. We focus on creating a positive environment that attracts new volunteers while also providing meaningful incentives and support to retain our dedicated current members.
The work of this committee is an essential part of ensuring that Calvert County Volunteer Fire-Rescue-EMS remains a cornerstone of safety and service in our community. By advocating for and investing in our volunteers, we aim to continue building a robust and resilient team ready to answer the call whenever our community needs us.
We are proud to support the selfless individuals who make our community a safer place and remain committed to providing the best benefits and opportunities possible.
