Lithium-Ion batteries are used to supply power to various devices we use every day but if they are not used correctly or are damaged they can be become very dangerous.

On Tuesday, May 2, 2023 Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS Operations Specialist, Monty Parks, Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department Chief 6A and Chairman of the Calvert County Chiefs Council Michael Clark, St Leonard Volunteer Fire Department Chief Brent Lankford, and Firefighter/EMT Michael Farrell gave a very informative presentation to the Calvert County Board of Commissioners on Lithium-Ion Batteries and their Impact on Fire Fighting in Calvert County.
