Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS is excited to congratulate Firefighter Cody Davenport, a dedicated volunteer of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department and a cadet at Calvert Career and Technology Academy, on his outstanding performance at the SkillsUSA National Competition held in Atlanta, Georgia, last week. Cody competed in the highly challenging Firefighting Skills Competition and achieved an impressive 6th place finish in the nation.

SkillsUSA is a prestigious organization that aims to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens. The national competition gathers the most talented students from across the country to compete in various skill-based challenges, showcasing their expertise and dedication to their respective fields.

The leadership and members of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, along with Calvert Career and Technology Academy and the entire Calvert County Fire-Rescue-EMS community, are incredibly proud of Cody's remarkable achievement. His dedication, skill, and representation of both the department and Calvert County are truly commendable.

This accomplishment not only highlights Cody's exceptional abilities but also underscores the high standards and excellence upheld by the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department and Calvert Career and Technology Academy Fire Sciences Program. Cody's success serves as an inspiration to all aspiring firefighters and reinforces the importance of training, mentorship, and community support.

Congratulations, Firefighter Cody Davenport, on this significant accomplishment! Your hard work and perseverance have paid off, and we look forward to your continued success and contributions to the field of firefighting. Thank you for making us all proud and for bringing honor to our community.
